Hey Guys,
So I'm rounding the corner and will be on the home stretch of my trip now. So I've been to Bath and today is my last day in Stratford. Both Stratford and Bath are neat because of their history and heritage but they are both very touristy towns which is kind of lame. It is beautiful here, though and we've had nice weather. If I can make it until we get home without having to wear my jeans again, I'll be happy. So far, I've worn my shorts or a skirt every day since we got to Bath. Bath was beautiful. We did a lot of eating lunch by the river and such. I also got to see the Roman Baths which was really neat. It's amazing how innovative the Romans were. It does suck that you have to pay so much to go to all of these places but I guess the money helps with the upkeep but also pours some money into the community. Oh well. I also got to go to Stonehenge which was really cool. Stonehenge, which actually doesn't have anything to do with being built by the Druids (or so I'm told). There were also these cool burial mounds from the brass age that was littered all around the area. That was pretty much all I did in Bath. In Stratford I've gone to see A Midsummer Night's Dream which is one of my favorite Shakespeare plays and it was amazing to see it here. It was also really edgy and dark which was great. I also caught a little cold which stinks but hopefully I'll be better in a few days. I also got a few friends and we hired a row boat and went out on the Avon. Okay. Rowing really is tough. I am not coordinated enough to do it. That's all I have to say about that. I also got a picture of this swan that came right up to the boat. I was actually afraid it was going to peck at us it was so close. Well, that's all that I've really been up to. :) Just catching up on my reading and such. Here's a random thing: When we were in Bath we stumbled upon this small little independent bookshop called Mr. B's which was actually inspired by Elliot Bay Books. I guess the owners went on their honeymoon and were in seattle for part of it and went to Elliot Bay and ended up quiting their jobs to open Mr. B's and now they've won best independent bookstore for the second year in a row. Pretty cool. :) Anyway, that's all for now. I'm going to go read in the sun.
