Dublin

I LOVE DUBLIN! Okay, the people here are really friendly from what I can tell. I really am enjoying this place. I'm really sad that we are only here until Saturday morning. We arrived on Monday afternoon after our plane had been delayed for about an hour and just walked around the city. We went out to dinner at this place called Bobo's which is a gourmet Irish burger place. There are a lot of Americanized things in Dublin which is kind of surprising.
So yesterday, we took a historical walking tour of the city which was amazing. We learned all about the history of the city and the people. I can't believe the things that they've faced. They have such a rich and such a sad history. We also got to go to Trinity College and see the Book of Kells which was pretty cool. It really is as ornate and beautiful as they say it is. Everything is so detailed, too. Evey when the pictures of the pages were enlarged, there was so much to it. We are in apartments here, which is great because the city is really expensive. My roommates and I have been grocery shopping and yesterday had a pasta meal. :) We also have been eating the most incredible yogurt here! It's so creamy it's almost like dessert. We are going to poke around some shops today before class this afternoon, but beyond that, I think a few of us are just going to explore more of Dublin and check out a few of the galleries and stuff down by the Temple Bar area --which apparently is the cultural center for Dublin. Well, my time here at the internet cafe is almost over so I better get going. We are in Dublin until Saturday morning and then we have a six hour bus ride over to Dingle. Yikes! Well, I hope everyone is well and that the quarter is going well!
